Getting the most out of space sometimes involves working around existing objects, in this case, plumbing. To achieve that end, we create pipe chases within the drawers themselves. All corners dovetailed, of course; the plumbing clears the drawers and a maximum amount of interior drawer space is reclaimed. Note a couple of other details: the two lowest drawers have no front frame mid-rails between them, and the left front frame stile will be removed for mortise and tenon assembly to an adjacent cabinet on job site.
