Minimal wall cabinetry and open shelving keep the space feeling open and relaxed. Mission toekicks and light rails combined with natural elements such as the oak wood floor, granite countertops and copper range hood complete the period style look of this kitchen.

Wall cabinetry is topped with a two-piece moulding. The wall cabinet features glass doors and adjustable shelves finished to match the exterior.

Base cabinetry includes a bank of drawers with distinctive five-piece Providence drawer fronts.

An appliance panel conceals the dishwasher door creating a seamless run of cabinetry.

This view of the island reveals an undercounter microwave flanked on either side by non-working door panels.

The shallow drawer below the oven is a convenient place to store cookie sheets or other trays.

The tall cabinet in the corner is used for both broom and pantry storage.

The refrigerator is artfully incorporated into another tall cabinet. Above the refrigerator, two cabinet doors flip up and remain in an open position to offer easy access to stored items.

A cozy window seat with a straight beadboard back is nestled into the far corner. Three roomy drawers make use of the space below and a raised panel end completes the piece.

Madison, the family cat, sits comfortably on the window seat. It is her favorite place to catch some afternoon sun.
