A little imagination is necessary to get the full effect of this table style island.   Destined for a nautical themed kitchen in Cape Cod, Massachussetts, this island features a slatted mahogany base in a warm contrasting finish. A mahogany countertop and a sink with exposed chrome plumbing will complete the maritime motif.

We turn the island around to get a behind the scenes look in our second image.

Our cutlery divider is showcased in the left side drawer in our third image.

Our fourth image extends the right side drawer to reveal our knife block.  We make it easy to switch things up here; both the cutlery divider and the knife block are removable. 

In our fifth and sixth images we move in for a close up of each end of the table, getting a better look at the sturdy tapered table legs and the mahogany slatted base.
